This week is National Police Week. To honor our local officers fallen in the line of duty, we will be hosting and participating in several events during the week. The events are open to the public and we would love for you to join us as we remember the sacrifices made for our community.

We will be hosting a Candlelight Vigil on Monday, May 13th at Omaha Police Headquarters, 505 South 15th Street at 8:00 p.m. It is a walking vigil through the Old Market where we will "Walk the Beat", a journey though an officer's career.

Join us on Tuesday, May 14th for a Static Equipment Display at the Point Community Center, 3116 Lockbourne Drive in Bellevue from Noon to 5:00 p.m. We will join the Bellevue (Nebraska) Police DepartmentPapillion Police DepartmentSarpy County Sheriff's Office, Douglas County Sheriff's Office (NE), and the FBI – Federal Bureau of Investigation for a display of police vehicles and equipment used by the different agencies.

Wednesday, May 15th is National Law Enforcement Memorial Day. Join us for a local Memorial Service at the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, 3601 N 156th Street at 11:00 a.m. The service will honor and remember officers across the metro who have passed away this past year.

Friday, May 17th is the Nebraska Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Service in Grand Island. You are invited to join Honor Guards from around the state at the Nebraska Law Enforcement Memorial at Fonner Park, 409 East Fonner Park Road at 10:00 a.m.
